A movie that has been on my radar for a while now is Kidnapped (Secuestrados), from director Miguel Angel Vivas, and it is coming to US theaters June 17th courtesy of IFC Midnight. Judging by the poster you know that you won't be getting a happy-go-lucky style movie! As is usually the case with IFC acquired movies I would expect this to hit VOD just before the theatrical release date. Bare in mind though that IFC put out dubbed VOD releases, as was the case with High Lane and We Are The Night. I have included the dubbed trailer as well as the original language trailer.
Synopsis
Jaime (Fernando Cayo) and Marta (Ana Wagener) are a middle-aged couple with a teenage daughter named Isa (Manuela Velles). The family is in the process of moving into a big new house. Marta wants to gather the family for dinner at home to celebrate. Isa has her own plans; she wants to go out with her boyfriend. Jaime is stuck in the middle of it all. Everyone's evening is ruined when a gang of masked hoodlums pay a visit to the home.
